Doug Humann

Chair, Landcare Australia | Development Director, Protected Areas Learning and Research Collaboration

Doug Humann has around 30 years of leadership experience in the NGO sector across Australia and runs his own consultancy, working principally with environmental NGOs, as well as Indigenous groups, natural resource management authorities, corporate clients and governments. Doug is the current Chairman of Landcare Australia, Convenor of the National Parks Advisory Council (Victoria) and Deputy Chair of Dhelkunya Dja Traditional Owner Land Management Board (Victoria). He also sits on the Advisory Board of the Conservation Ecology Centre (Cape Otway, Victoria) and the Melbourne Indigenous Transition School Fundraising Committee. He is the Development Director for the Protected Areas Learning and Research Collaboration and was CEO of Bush Heritage Australia (1997-2011) after leading the Victorian National Parks Association (1990-97).
