Katherine Zischka is the Director of the Australian Committee of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (ACIUCN), where she works with the Australian IUCN constituency to further the global work of IUCN in Australia.
Kathy is a member of the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA) and Co-Vice Chairs the WCPA Marine Young Professionals Task Force. She has a background in marine research and conservation, international environmental law, policy development, ecotourism and has worked in conservation and management with non-government organisations, government and academia in Australia, Europe and the Pacific. Kathy has tertiary degrees in marine biology and environmental management.
